Hygienic Levelling Feet for Food and Pharmaceutical Machinery
Hygienic levelling feet provide stable, height-adjustable support for machinery and equipment in production areas with demanding cleaning and hygiene requirements. Typical applications include conveyor systems, packaging machines, processing equipment and work tables in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
MOVET TEKNO-HYGIENIC machine feet are manufactured from stainless steel and designed for regularly cleaned and moisture-exposed environments. Different thread sizes, spindle lengths, base plate diameters, anti-slip materials and floor-fixing options allow the support point to be matched to the machine design and operating conditions.
3-A-Certified Hygienic Machine Feet
The TEKNO-HYGIENIC levelling feet in this category are certified in accordance with the 3-A Sanitary Standard. Standard 88-01 specifically covers machine levelling feet and supports used beneath processing and production equipment.
Smooth, accessible surfaces and hygienically designed transitions support thorough cleaning and help reduce areas in which product residue, moisture or contamination could accumulate. The certification applies to the levelling foot itself; the complete machine installation, including frame connections, fasteners and floor mounting, must also be designed for the intended hygiene requirements.
Select Hygienic Feet by Thread and Size
The appropriate dimensions depend on the machine connection, load at each support point, required adjustment range and available floor space. The following table summarises the options currently available in the category:
| Selection feature | Available options | Selection guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Spindle thread | M12, M16, M20, M24, M30 and M36 | The thread must match the machine connection and the required product-specific load capacity. |
| Spindle length | 135, 140, 142, 150, 185, 190, 225 and 235 mm | Select according to the installation height and required adjustment range. |
| Base plate diameter | 41 to 230 mm | A larger base plate distributes the load across a wider floor area. |
| Adjustment angle | 15° | The articulated joint compensates for slightly inclined or uneven floors. |
| Anti-slip base | Without pad, black NBR or blue EPDM | Select according to the floor, cleaning agents and required slip resistance. |
| Floor fixing | Without dedicated fixing, with one mounting lug or with two mounting holes | Fixed designs may be required where lateral forces, tipping or lifting could occur. |
Stainless Steel Feet for Hygienic Machine Design
The base plate and threaded spindle of the hygienic machine feet are manufactured from stainless steel. The material is suitable for wet production areas and its smooth surfaces support effective cleaning. Actual resistance must nevertheless be assessed against the cleaning agent, concentration, temperature and contact time used in the application.
Hygienic machine design should not end at the base plate. The threaded connection, transition to the machine frame and any exposed thread sections should also remain accessible or be covered by suitable hygienic components. Additional designs are available under stainless steel hygienic feet .
NBR or EPDM Anti-Slip Pads
The hygienic levelling feet are available without an elastomer pad, with black NBR or with blue EPDM. An anti-slip pad increases friction between the base plate and floor and can help reduce unwanted movement on smooth installation surfaces.
NBR and EPDM have different resistance characteristics. The correct material depends on the oils, fats, cleaning chemicals, temperatures and exposure times present in the application. The blue EPDM version also provides strong visual contrast in many food-processing environments.
An anti-slip pad should not automatically be treated as an engineered vibration isolator. Where vibration isolation is a primary requirement, machine mass, excitation frequency and dynamic forces must be assessed separately. Suitable solutions can be found under anti-vibration levelling feet .
Articulated Levelling Feet with a 15° Adjustment Angle
The integrated articulated joint provides an adjustment angle of up to 15°. This allows the base plate to adapt to slightly inclined or uneven floors while the individual machine support points are being levelled.
The joint is intended to compensate for the installation angle and should not be subjected to continuous movement or permanent loading against its maximum angle. The machine load should act as centrally as possible through the spindle and into the base plate.
Hygienic Feet with Floor Fixing
Depending on the machine design, hygienic levelling feet can be installed as free-standing supports or secured to the floor. Models with one mounting lug or two mounting holes provide defined fixing points for anchoring the equipment.
Floor fixing may be required where lateral forces, repeated machine movements, tipping moments or possible lifting forces occur during operation. The anchors and floor structure must be designed for the actual loads. The mounting area should also remain accessible for inspection and cleaning.
Select and Buy 3-A Hygienic Levelling Feet
Use the product filters to select the hygienic feet by spindle thread, spindle length, base plate diameter, anti-slip material and floor-fixing design. Before ordering, check the mounting dimensions, required adjustment range and technical load capacity of each individual support point.
The total machine weight should not simply be divided equally by the number of feet. An offset centre of gravity, filled containers, moving components and dynamic forces can place significantly higher loads on individual positions. Complementary products such as a hygienic thread extension , hygienic thread cover and hygienic flange cover support a consistently cleanable machine installation.
