The MOVET range includes stainless steel castor spindles with M16, M20 and M24 threads and spindle lengths of 150 or 200 mm. The appropriate dimensions depend on the existing mounting point, required adjustment range and structural loads of the application.
A larger thread diameter can provide increased rigidity when used in a suitably designed structure. However, the complete system must always be considered. The spindle, castor, frame, mounting points and any support plate must all be suitable for the expected forces.
Spindles with Male or Female M12 Connections
Depending on the version, the spindles are available with a male M12 pin or a female M12 threaded connection. The male pin can be connected to a compatible castor component or a suitable support plate. Female versions are intended for constructions in which the corresponding component has a matching threaded pin.
The main spindle thread is therefore not the only dimension that must be checked. The connection at the opposite end must also match the installed component. Technical drawings and product dimensions help compare the pin length, thread, overall height and available installation space.

For a reliable connection, the support plate and spindle pin must have compatible dimensions. Floor conditions, load and the arrangement of the individual support points should also be considered. A larger contact surface can be beneficial on sensitive or less load-resistant floors.

Castors allow machinery, worktables and frames to be moved flexibly. At the intended operating position, however, the structure may also require stable and even support. Adjustable castor spindles can help compensate for differences in floor height and align the equipment with the available installation surface.
The total weight, load distribution and number of castors and support points should be assessed together. Dynamic forces generated during movement and braking must also be considered. The spindle selection does not replace a technical assessment of the complete castor and frame construction.
