What are hinges actually?
Hinge is the technical term for rotatable joints used as fittings of containers or furniture. If hinges are installed on boxes, windows or doors, they are also referred to as hinges or hinges, depending on the area of application. The origin of the term "hinge" goes back to a borrowing from 18th century French. The French word "charnière" for "hinge joint" is in turn a derivation from the Latin "cardo" for "turning point" or "hinge". Hinges are usually made of two metal strips.
